Bull and Bear Markets Explanation of the Significance.
You have heard it Over and Over as long as you have been a Investor. Do you know what it means or do you just go with the flow and call it what it is based on being told thats what it is?
Well I just learned the Significance the other day and I figure this is as good as anything to share on my blog. In the Stock Market I would say the Bull and the Bear are the most Noteable of all things we know about the market in general. They are used A Lot and Talked about like they are part of the Family and coming over for dinner. In facr thats not the case in fact I would bet 85% of Investors have no CLUE how these Bulls and Bears Terms Started. Well Read on and Soon you will be in the know.

There was a Day when Grizzlies Roamed California and Flourished here in the early 1800's California was not as populated with people yet. The Grizzlies were a problem as people began to arrive on the most westward coast of this great county. Who could have know from this time and unbroken Frontier would come a term that would last in the Stock Market to this day! Back then Spanish cowboys would rope or Capture Wild Grizzlies. These cages Grizzlies were used as Display and Sport the Men would Drag the Bulls and Grizzlies into Bloody public battles as if it were the days of the Gladiators. This Quickly became a Very popular spectator sport the bull or the Bear would win. Thisis how we came up with the terms “bear” and “bull” in the Stock Market!

Just a tidbit of Knowledge I likely should have known LONG before I learned it living Smack Dab in the Middle of the area where this happened and being so into Stocks. Better Late than Never though on this one I guess..;-)
